Marketing Director: Damien Lambert

Damien joined with Sapo Entertainment in July of '07 after being a fan of Sapo's content and appeal hoping to help further expand the rapidly blossoming website. He saw that Sapo's fan base was loyal, diverse and growing larger with each convention they attended and venture they pursued. As a life long artist, there was a great opportunity to develop what was a single painting and a moderate back-story in college into a fully fleshed out web comic entitled, "Little Mountain".

With a heavy background in art and comic art, Damien received his BFA in Illustration from FIT in New York. Prior, he attended the liberal John Dewey High School. Dewey allowed students the flexibility and freedom to choose their own courses, and the faculty had a very adult manner in dealing with students. A student whose focus was art could in fact choose from a myriad of art courses from painting, sculpture, cartooning, and editorial. It was the perfect start for a passionate artist.

Out of FIT, Damien worked with S.I. international, a licensing company with offices in New York and Barcelona. At S.I. he strengthened his digital art and perfected techniques in Illustrator and Photoshop while working for big name publishing clients such as Scholastic, Penguin, Disney, and Fisher-Price on an assortment of varying licensed titles. Not only observing the business, but being in it taught much about business sense, compromise, deadlines, scheduling, audience, color choices, and above all, what makes an interesting and exciting piece of art.

When asked about Little Mountain, Damien explains why a lead protagonist of color is important, especially in light of the milestone changes currently occurring in politics and society. "Views need to be changed. Art is about not following what are safe and the status quo. At face value, some may just see a web comic about a boy of primitive origins on an island, and I purposely put this seemingly static storyline in the forefront in order to have the ability to develop familiar characters as well as exotic ones and unique situations. When you read on, you may note that the inner dialog is mature and the character brusque. Little Mountain is a fantasy with ties to strong real life personalities, and I hope readers want to get acquainted with the world."

Minister of Sound: Chris Sullivan

Chris Sullivan joined Sapo Entertainment in July of 2007 after several discussions with Phill St. Gerard about the possibility of doing musical content for the comic Cotton Fluff Hollow. Since those discussions his role in the company has gone on to include all musical and audio content of the webcomic, helping to provide an extra angle of opportunity for the site's content while simultaneously allowing him to explore areas of sonic manipulation and creation that he had been toying with already.

Chris has been making music as a hobby for over ten years and is mostly self-taught in what he knows of the field. His interest in making music started in high school when he bought his first synthesizer. Back then he did many performances, honing his skills with synthesizers and live, impromptu music production, under various pseudonyms.

He went to school for Architectural Design at Pratt Institute in New York, where he received a B.Arch. While completing these studies he started working more heavily with computers to make music, which has since had a strong influence on the way he works and approaches making music.

Concerning his recent inclusion with Sapo Entertainment, his focus is on making a cohesive sound for the site and its varying comics. Instead of a more traditional approach of simply applying musical content that is more self-contained unto itself, the musical content of the Sapo site relates more heavily to each comic. The songs are treated as shorter segments that can link together seamlessly depending upon the intended mood of each of the individual comics and their current story arcs.

"I'm rather excited to be working with Sapo Entertainment. I've always considered my songs to contain a narrative quality and have tried to elicit certain emotional triggers based on those narratives, so to be working on a musical project that is built around the stories of Sapo's comics strikes me as a great opportunity on a new take of what I have already been doing. Like in movies, a good soundtrack can really enhance the feel of a story."
